DII-A TENNIS MATCH FORMAT
(2) Doubles pairs, each match 1 point
(5) Singles play, each match 1 point
First to 4 wins the match
DII-A BOYS & GIRLS TENNIS has multiple components:
TEAM
Top 4 teams from each district regular season standings qualify for region tournament
Top 4 teams qualify for STATE
• 12 teams qualify for STATE, 4 from each of the 3 regions (East, Middle, West)
• 3 Region Champions receive a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round
• 1 Region Runner-Up (23-24 year is WEST #2) receives a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round (3 year rotation cycle)
• Remaining qualifiers play in the STATE XII round
SINGLES
District - 2 players from each team, top 4 players are seeded, remainder seeded with blind draw
Region - top 4 from each district tournament qualify
State - top 3 players from the middle region qualify for STATE QUARTERFINAL round
DOUBLES
District - 2 pairs from each team, top 4 pairs are seeded, remainder seeded with blind draw
Region - top 4 pairs from each district tournament qualify
State - top 3 pairs from the middle region qualify for STATE QUARTERFINAL round

BOYS State Singles - 8 players qualify for state (2 East, 4 Middle, 2 West)

BOYS State Team - 10 teams qualify (3 East, 4 Middle, 3 West)
GIRLS State Singles - 8 players qualify for state (2 East, 4 Middle, 2 West)
