EAST REGION TOURNAMENT no district tournaments District champions and runners-up are crowned based on regular season standings, the same way MLS crowns a "Supporters Shield" champion. MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT no district tournaments District champions and runners-up are crowned based on regular season standings, the same way MLS crowns a "Supporters Shield" champion. MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT Single elimination tournament with all 16 teams 1st Round: 5v8, 6v7 2nd Round: Winners plus 3 & 4 seeds Quarterfinals: Winners plus 1 & 2 seeds Top 4 teams qualify for STATE • 12 teams qualify for STATE, 4 from each of the 3 regions (East, Middle, West) • 3 Region Champions receive a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round • 1 Region Runner-Up (25-26 year is MIDDLE #2) receives a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round (3 year rotation cycle) • Remaining qualifiers play in the STATE XII round WEST REGION TOURNAMENT no district tournaments District champions and runners-up are crowned based on regular season standings, the same way MLS crowns a "Supporters Shield" champion. Standard single elimination region tournament consisting of all teams from districts 5-6 DII-AA SOCCER EAST REGION TOURNAMENT R1: 2v5, 3v4 R2a: R1 losers play, winner is #4 R2b: R1 winners play and loser is #3 R3: R2b winner plays #1 in final MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT - R1: 6v7, loser eliminated - R2: 3 vs 6/7 winner, 4 vs 5 - 5th place game: 3/6/7 loser vs 4/5 loser - Semifinals: 1 vs 4/5, 2 vs 3/6/7 - Top 5 teams advance to STATE bracket WEST: no tournament, all 3 teams advance to STATE bracket STATE TOURNAMENT • 12 teams qualify for STATE: East-4, Middle-5, West-3 • 2-3-4-5 seeds play in STATE XII round, winners advance to quarterfinals - (3) 1 & (1) 2 seeds enter in quarterfinal round | ||||||
