MIDDLE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT no district tournaments District champions and runners-up are crowned based on regular season standings "Supporters Shield" MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT Single elimination tournament with all 16 teams 1st Round: 5v8, 6v7 2nd Round: Winners plus 3 & 4 seeds Quarterfinals: Winners plus 1 & 2 seeds Top 4 teams qualify for STATE • 12 teams qualify for STATE, 4 from each of the 3 regions (East, Middle, West) • 3 Region Champions receive a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round • 1 Region Runner-Up (23-24 year is WEST #2) receives a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round (3 year rotation cycle) • Remaining qualifiers play in the STATE XII round DII-AA SOCCER EAST: Region Tournament format: R1: 2v5, 3v4 / R2: R1 winners play and loser is #3 / R3: winner plays #1 in final - top 3 teams qualify for STATE 10 MIDDLE: No region tournament - top 4 qualify for STATE 10 WEST: No region tournament- top 3 qualify for STATE 10 |
