DISTRICT 3 TOURNAMENT • Quarterfinal Best-of-3 series • Final 4 bracket is reseeded with top remaining seed playing lowest remaining seed. Single elimination style with a third place game. • Top 4 teams advance to region tournament DISTRICT 4 TOURNAMENT • Quarterfinal winners advance to single elimination final 4 • Semifinal winners advance to single game championship • Quarterfinal losers move to losers bracket • Semifinals losers move to losers bracket joining after 2 teams are eliminated • Top 4 teams advance to region tournament MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT Top 4 teams qualify for STATE • (2) 4 team, double elimination style brackets (identical to DI state tournament format) • Two winners advance to single game region championship • Two runners-up advance to single game region third place game STATE TOURNAMENT • 12 teams qualify for STATE, 4 from each of the 3 regions (East, Middle, West) • 3 Region Champions receive a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round • 1 Region Runner-Up (2024-25 is MIDDLE #2) receives a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round (3 year rotation cycle) • Remaining qualifiers play in the single game STATE XII round • STATE QUARTERFINAL round is a Best-of-3 series DII-AA BASEBALL EAST: 3 teams qualify for STATE 10 - R1: 2v5, 3v4 Best of 3 - R2: R1 winners play, loser is #3 - R3: R2 winner vs #1 in final MIDDLE: 4 teams qualify for STATE 10 - 1 vs 2 in best of 3 series for #1 and #2 seeds to STATE 10 - 6-7 play-in game - 6/7 winner, 3, 4, 5 play standard double elimination tournament for 3 & 4 seed WEST: standard double elimination tournament, top 3 qualify for STATE 10 |
