REGULAR SEASON PLAY • each district divided into two divisions • 2x vs division, 1x vs other division • D3 standings are based on all district games • D4 standings are based on division play with cross division play as tiebreaker for district tournament seeding DISTRICT 3 & 4 TOURNAMENTS (separate tournaments for 2026!) FRI, April 24 1v4, 2v3, 1v4, 2v3 play-in game at higher seed four winners advance to standard 4 team double elimination tournament MON, April 27 TUE, April 28 WED, April 28 DISTRICT 4 TOURNAMENT format and dates TBA MIDDLE REGION TOURNAMENT • 8 teams - 4 each from D3 and D4 quality • format TBA • Top 4 teams qualify for STATE • 1 Region Runner-Up (2025-26 is EAST #2) receives a bye to the STATE QUARTERFINAL round (3 year rotation cycle) • Remaining qualifiers play in the single game STATE XII round • STATE QUARTERFINAL round is a Best-of-3 series DII-AA SOFTBALL ** STATE TOURNAMENT format TBA ** EAST: No region tournament, top ??? teams qualify for STATE XII MIDDLE: No region tournament, top ??? qualify for STATE XII WEST: No region tournament, only one team in region | ||||||||
